Apple’s event starts with a tribute to Steve Jobs

Apple’s Special event at the Steve Jobs theatre has begun. And it began with a voice over from the man himself and Tim Cook officially opening the theater in Cupertino, California.

“I love hearing his voice,” says Tim Cook, “Steve meant so much to me and so much to all of us. Memories come rushing back as we prepared for today. His greatest gift of his appreciation for humanity is apple itself. We dedicate this theatre to Steve because we loved him and because he loved days like this.”

The CEO also said that the Apple team will move to the new Apple Park later this year. “Over a decade ago we began to work on a new campus for apple. Steve’s vision was to create an incredible workplace for the future. His vision and passion live on here in apple park and everywhere in apple. Today and always we honor him.”

The Apple park built to reflect apple values in technology and the environment “The park itself was converted from a sea of asphalt into a 175 acre green space. It is powered by 100% renewable energy,” he said.
