Free to air channels in Uganda are limited to the fact that PayTV providers want you to ride on their subscription packages in order to watch your favorite TV channel. Fortunately, most flat screen TVs on sale these days whether bought locally or online have inbuilt free to air DTV (DVB T2) support.
It’s by this fact that buying a PayTV decoder becomes a stress factor than a reliable free digital TV option. So before you make that switch to a free to air version, or eventually you’re not sure of the channels covered, here is a list of all local TV channels you can watch without paying a coin.

I have saachi 17inches it refused to save channels. How can I save them? Because every time I switched it off and erase all the channels
Each time you do a Scan, the channels are saved automatically. For a fix, next time choose Terrestial as your antenna type to see if channels will be saved automatically.

Why is it that there are only 7 channels that i can watch. Am in Gulu City. There are 118 channels after Auto search and the rest of the channels keeps saying scrambled channels

Hello am in Jinja my free to air decorder has refused to scan other FTA channels apart from UBC, ToP ,GO channel yet signal strength is 75 and quality is 100 for 5 days what should I do pliz tell me.
Kindly reset that decoder, all FTA channels will pop back up one by one.

I have reset but it scanned scrambled channels only and even if I put in FTA channels still it gives me 3 channels only.
Sorry about that, if possible, try getting to a new location, most probably near a town, Do a full scan again, and make sure all channels are registered without scrambled channels, then, go back to your normal location, the channels should work fine. First, try to find a way the decoder can register them, then it will be easy for the decoder to pick them since it will know their frequencies very well.
