The Samsung Galaxy S8 is among the most popular Android smartphones to be released this year 2017. With the S8, Samsung managed to beat Apple to launch a phone with a bezel-less design. What about its performance though? How does the Galaxy S8 stack against Apple’s six months old flagship, the iPhone 7 Plus? Well Samsung having released the Galaxy S8 its apparently the best android device on the market to be released in 2017
The Galaxy S8 is the first Android smartphone to launch with Qualcomm’s latest and greatest octa-core Snapdragon 835 chipset. It also comes with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, which is a GB more than what the iPhone 7 Plus packs. On paper, the Galaxy S8 clearly seems more powerful than the iPhone 7 Plus, but what about real life use?
As the speed test comparison from YouTuber EverythingApplePro shows, despite the advantage in terms of specs, the Galaxy S8 was clearly slower to the almost six months old iPhone 7 Plus by quite a fair margin. The Galaxy S8 was slower not only in opening regular apps like Instagram, it was also substantially slower in opening heavy games like GTA V. The iPhone 7 Plus was also way faster than the Galaxy S8 in exporting a 4K video.
