Here is a list of MacBooks that can run macOS Big Sur

macOS Big Sur is the latest Apple Operating system release designed for computers. Replacing macOS Catalina 10.15, Big Sur is expected to launch with a pile of fresh features better than any macOS release ever developed.

In fact, Big Sur shares its launch path with IOS 14 for iPhones supporting the iPhone 8, X, Xr, Xs, X max, and SE. Contrary to IOS which ditches older iPhones, macOS Big Sur supports MacBooks as old as 2013 models.

But unlike macOS Catalina that initially supported all Macs from 2012 — present. Big Sur support is trimmed to Retina display MacBooks that rose to popularity in 2013, and here is a full list of MacBooks that can run Big Sur.
