The Startup Battlefield by Techcrunch is coming back to Africa

Startup Battlefield is a popular startups competition organized by the popular technology and startups website Tech Crunch. Returning for its second year in Africa the competition will be held in Lagos Nigeria where judges will base and provide transportation for any successful startups in a bid to find the top startup in Africa.

Tech crunch in its communication stated that the competition will be held in 3 cities of Sao Paulo, Beirut, and Lagos as they added that 15 companies will be selected in each region to compete.

[bs-quote quote=”The finalists will also receive intensive coaching from TechCrunch’s editors to hone their pitches to a razor’s edge before they take the stage in front of top venture capitalists from the region and around the world” style=”style-17″ align=”center”][/bs-quote]

Last year, the overall winner walked away with $25,000 and the story wil be no different this year as Tech crunch promised the same amount for the top startup plus a trip for two to the Crunch disrupt event in USA.

Unlike Last year’s venue in Nairobi Kenya with Logistics company by Lori systems emerging as the top most winners. Lagos, Nigeria will be the base where Tech Crunch will choose Africa’s top startup for a top prize of 25,000 US dollars.
