With Airtel ranking as the 2nd most used telecommunications provider behind MTN Uganda as the top podium provider, free services like call me back messages make the telco a reliable provider.

Just like the rest of its offerings, Airtel’s call me back message feature requires a direct Airtel Uganda number in order to successfully send your notification without any possible delays or failures.

But similar to MTN’s call me back limitation, only prepaid 07** customers can send a call me back message on Airtel Uganda. For prepaid customers routing with 0200** series numbers, the service can’t be used in any way.

Additionally, you can only send a call me back message on Airtel Uganda by using the telco’s shortcodes list with no direct procedure on the MY Airtel App. And so, here is how you can send an Airtel call me back message.

In the presence of a get airtime and payback later procedure with Airtel Beerako, you can choose to get call time credit, or proceed with sending a call me back message to the recipient you wish to receive a call from.

More so, sending a call me back message notifies your intended recipient that you’re out of credit so that they can easily call you back, and top up your account, or instead, continue with your phone conversation that may have been cut short due to depleted airtime or voice bundles.

As a notable style of subscription, you can send a call me back message on MTN Uganda through the telco’s shortcodes list, and then enter a recipient’s number to easily send a call me back notification.

As a premium limitation, you can only send a call me back message if you’re a prepaid customer with a 07*** series number in Uganda. Postpaid and business customers with 03***series numbers are unable to send call me back messages based on the activated tarrif plan.

What to note before sending a Call me back message

Just like its low level competitors like Airtel and Africell, MTN Uganda allows you to easily send a free message when you’re out of airtime. However, as an attractive stunt, the message counter is maxed at 6 per day.

This means, you can only send out 6 call me back messages daily. Service violation can be attributed to this limit, but with a daily count of 6, you can easily get a top up from friends and family who can call you back incase you’re out of airtime.

Nonetheless, when you prefer topping sufficient airtime back to your account, you can then opt loading airtime through MTN Mobile Money or borrowing airtime through the telco’s Xtra time service.
