After being launched a few weeks back, Infinix Mobile Uganda didn’t take long to announce the Infinix S5 availability dates than it opened its shops with brand new device kits available for purchase at a price tagged to the mid-range dynamics

Well, we received an Infinix S5 review unit and before we review the device, our first impressions have nut sounds inking cracks of the new features tagged to this Infinix S4 successor

Infinix S5 first Impressions

First, the Infinix S5 is yet another close to phablet design Smartphone with a full view 6.6 Inch Screen clocked with less bezels. This means, the Infinix S5 is not that different from the current smartphones craze ruled by full-screen releases

As the Punch hole notch delivers a much wider viewing ratio since it encroaches on the notification pane. It’s By the same fashion that the front camera housed under the notch sits at an all-angle selfies position

Alternatively, a quad rear cameras setup teases new quality standards on the S5 since its the first S-series release to pack 4 Cameras to the back and a separated quad-LED Flash.

On the other hand, the inbuilt battery trend is a standard that seems to drive almost every new midrange and high-end smartphone with an allocated SIMCards pane allowing swift card changes

However, Android 9.0 Pie is a miss on the Infinix S5 since the operating system is slowly paving way for Android 10 and has been featured on almost every 2019 midrange release

Retailing at UGX 559,000, the Infinix S5 is currently available in all Infinix branded shops and online on shopping sites like Jumia mall, Kilimall, Jiji among others. However, the price of the IOninix S5 lite has not been revealed yet, but is expected to be slightly lower at about UGX 450,000

With a Punch hole display housing the front camera standing out from the device’s left corner, this will be the first smartphone to ever hold such a display standard in the Ugandan mid-range sphere.

While the standard U-type top-notch is still sinking in the veins of budget-friendly warners, the Waterdrop display gifted to the Infinix Hot 8, Infinix S4 and Note 6 were just tips of the next iceberg that houses what Infinix mobility has named an infinity O-display

According to credible sources at the Kampala Rd based Infinix Mobile Uganda, the upcoming smartphone is an s-series encroacher. The Infinix s5 will succeed the Infinix S4 that had market bullish spikes with a waterdrop display notch

However, the eye-catcher on the Infinix S5 is its 6.6-inch screen size that houses the punch hole camera and a first-ever quad-camera standard. The Smartphone is rumored to come in two versions, one with 64Gb ROM/4GB RAM and a Lite version with 32GB ROM/3GB RAM

With less of the rumor mill spikes, we expect the Infinix S5 smartphone to launch in Uganda before this month (November) comes to a close.
