WhatsApp is reportedly working on multi-device support to make the Instant messaging service a not just mobile-only platform, but a cross-platform application that can be used on desktop, mobile, and tablets. Over the years, WhatsApp Web has ruled as the best option a user can access the Instant Messaging platform on a computer at a cost of having an active Internet connection with your Smartphone.

In an interview with Tech Radar, WhatsApp executives confirmed the emergence of an array of new features headlined by multi-device support to help you access the platform without necessarily having to own a Smartphone.

Well, you can credit emulators like Bluestacks that have always made it possible to use WhatsApp directly on a PC, and of recent WIndows 11 support for direct Android applications. But with the new multi-device WhatsApp functionality, you will not require any extra installation files on your computer or Tablet, but instead, a single complete package as a WhatsApp spokesperson inked.

WhatsApp Web remains an important platform for our users. Until now, WhatsApp has only been available on one device at a time. Desktop and Web support only worked by mirroring off your phone – which meant your phone had to be on and have an active internet connection.

Even though WhatsApp has not confirmed a release date for the feature, the company notes that multi-device support will help millions of users from going through the difficulty of using WhatsApp on other devices.

Multi-device means that users will have the same functionality that is available on the current public versions of WhatsApp Web, Desktop, and Portal, just without the need to have your phone connected. Our multi-device capability immediately makes the experience better for people who use Desktop/Web and Portal. And it also will make it possible to add support for more kinds of devices over time.

According to the WhatsApp spokesperson, the COVID19 pandemic can be attributed to the birth of such features since many businesses are now opting for desktop calling and messaging on platforms like Zoom. Placing WhatsApp as a center of instant conversations would make it easier for businesses and users to communicate without boundaries.

We are always working to make private conversations on WhatsApp feel as close to in-person as possible, regardless of where you are in the world or the tech you’re using. With so many people still apart from their loved ones, adjusting to new ways of working and trying to keep their businesses running, we’ve focused on how we can provide more support in these area.

Aside from multi-device support, WhatsApp is also working on an array of features aimed at increasing user security and making the platform a must-have for every device holder around the world. For now, a timeline has not been set on when new features will leave the launchpad, but as per the new leaks, WhatsApp will get better by the end of 2021.

WhatsApp has revolutionalized from just a major Instant Messaging Smartphone app to a must-have service application. To the troll, every Smartphone owner needs a WhatsApp account to survive in this digital age.

Amidst the fact that Facebook is always cooking up new features and App compatibilities every quarter, WhatsApp also follows the lane with new modifications by sharing the same time frame.

Well, WhatsApp’s Beta rumors Platform WABeta has inked the IM service’s next move of Scrapping off support for selected Smartphones by 2020 with a Sniff of IOS 8 devices lying in balance for the chop.

No support for iOS 8!
You can still use WhatsApp on iOS 8, but if you reinstall the app, you will no longer able to verify your account.
The iOS 8 compatibility will be fully removed in February 1, 2020.
Windows Phone is confirmed to be deprecated after December 31, 2019. pic.twitter.com/JGRoSBAmMm— WABetaInfo (@WABetaInfo) September 22, 2019

WhatsApp last ended support for Smartphones 2 years ago where Android 4.0 and below devices lost installation rights in conjunction with all Blackberry OS releases.

This time around, devices like the iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 (IOS 7-8 powered) will nolonger support WhatsApp by 2020 together with all Windows-powered Smartphones since the official store for the latter will seize to exist by December 31st, 2019.

The phones that will lose WhatsApp support

Smartphones with Apple IOS 7 & Below

All Windows Powered Smartphones

All Android 2.3.1 powered Smartphones

The best way users with non-supported Smartphones can keep up the WhatsApp taste is by cruising with the KaiOS powered feature phone series like the MTN Kamunye and TECNO T401 or purchase supported Smartphones like those on the Android 9 list as recommended on WhatsApp’s FAQ page.

WhatsApp is the most popular Instant Messaging platform of this generation with a perfect touch to simplicity and making user day to day tasks much easier than ever before. As the platform continues to grow with more excellent features like a dark mode crossing over to the mobile app, It’s the more using it cruises with fun corns.

However, we have all been through a situation where a contact all of a sudden blocks you. For instance, if you sound like a fraudster to someone you’ve not talked to in a really long time, the block option on WhatsApp becomes his/her sweet option to trigger.

In a moment where you don’t have any more chances left to explain yourself after being blocked and can’t make any direct phone calls. A rescue method becomes your perfect gateway to redeem an unblock option without rushing for a WhatsApp alternative. So, here is our simple guide to grant you a 2nd chance to regain a chat, and in one way or the other be unblocked in advance.

Gaining a chat after being blocked on WhatsApp

Create a WhatsApp group

Add your best friend or a close person you trust or use your 2nd WhatsApp account

Make the new group member an Admin

Share the contact of the person who blocked you to the group

Let the alternate Admin add the contact to the group

Directly contact your Admin to leave the group and make it a 2 person forum to renegotiate to be unblocked

In most cases, by the time someone blocks you on WhatsApp, they either didn’t confirm who you are or he/she just wants to stop you from inboxing him/her directly. Other than that, once a contact blocks you, they can still read your group chats and respond with only an inbox route blockage.

Nonetheless, the next time someone blocks you, simply contact a close friend or use your second WhatsApp number to create a group and add yourself plus your target to the forum. Otherwise, it’s all a personal decision to block someone’s account on the platform and its the same route that you can use to regain an inbox notification if at all your target contact’s account is not hacked in any way.

WhatsApp is the most popular Instant Messaging (IM) platform of this century. While the likes of Yahoo Messenger, Hangouts, Skype rocked during the less smartphone filled days. WhatsApp is ranked as one of the most downloaded apps of all time, this not only makes it a superior version of Viber, IMO and Wechat combined but rather a must have app for every smartphone user.

At a time when WhatsApp was rumored to merge with Facebook and Instagram before news came out of a cryptocurrency to ease payments on the platforms. It’s when the messaging app now features a new dark mode feature for Android ssers after an early rollout to IOS.

WhatsApp dark mode is currently available for Beta Users on Android with version 2.19.82 leaked by WABetaInfo. Just like the iPhone layout, WhatsApp conversations displayed in dark mode have a black background, message balloons in gray and dark green, gray keyboard, white letters, and blue details.

How the new WhatsApp dark mode appears on Android

However, it’s only the settings option and its inline options that so far have the new WhatsApp dark mode and we expect to see conversation chats spiced with a dark background in the next update. Either way, a couple of IOS WhatsApp features are slowly making their way to Android as Dark mode is just a slice of them all.

So as we eagerly wait for the next official update and a pile of dark mode accompanied tweaks. The new feature purely reflects that the messaging giant is slowly cruising to what the leading mod GBWhatsApp offers to users including more effective options where a user can fully customize the app to the best design and color.

Henceforth as WhatsApp ships in the long-awaited dark mode that will now allow you to choose between the basic White background and the Twitter night like mode on Android. It’s no doubt that the messaging platform will be just another exciting must have Smartphone companion at a time when feature phones like the MTN Kamunye come pre-installed with the app.

WhatsApp messenger is undoubtedly the most popular smartphone app to date beating the likes of Skype and Facebook Messenger in a joint raffle draw. The Facebook owned platform allows you to interact with friends and family at the expense of a single contact as it will soon merge with Instagram plus Messenger. However, they are many tricks you can pull off using on the mighty green colored platform amidst unauthorized access/hacking into another person’s account.

Through open backdoors like Whatsapp web and disabled two-factor authentication, WhatsApp allows you to view a specific account’s messages without necessarily having access to the phone but a stable internet connection. Unlike all previous Instant messaging application like Yahoo messenger and Skype, with Whatsapp, you can illegally access someone’s account through all dimensions without the need for a passcode or pattern as we detailed some of the little-known loopholes

Through WhatsApp Web

Except that WhatsApp these days sends notifications of your previous login on WhatsApp web. But still, Whatsapp web is still vulnerable to attacks and you can easily read someone’s messages without them knowing. For instance, how do you think some WhatsApp-shared nudes are retrieved? a simple question to think about.

To read Whatsapp messages without touching your phone, simply scan your WhatsApp account to the web version and Kaboom, messages will start popping up one by one. However, on the victims’ phone, you need to block Whatsapp from sending notifications and we shall share how you can do this in an article soon. Otherwise, once the Whatsapp account is scanned, you have full access to a victim’s account and can change settings including statuses plus the profile picture.

With Screen Mirroring apps

Screen mirroring apps are keyloggers that can send real-time data to someone who initially configures the background application to the phone. Many mirroring apps exist on the play store and apple store with abilities to copy each and every activity on the smartphone as the hacker sits in front of a computer tracking all activity.

On the Internet, search with the word “best keylogger apps“, some of the best mirroring apps will be shortlisted for you in the search results. However, we can’t mention specific apps since we are not coniving with any of these. But all mirroring apps operate in the background and your victim can never tell on being tracked.

How you can Secure your WhatsApp account

First things first, Are you sure your WhatsApp account is secure enough? Well, since you know the tricks how someone can easily watch who and what you share on WhatsApp, its time we dive into how you can secure your account in return.

Check and Delete any registered WhatsApp Web computers

On WhatsApp or a modded version tap the 3 dotted option button in the top left corner and choose Whatsapp web. If the app pops up a QR scanner using your phone camera, then you don’t have any computers accessing your account.

How you can Disable Whatsapp Web and Log out all active devices

Either way, If the Whatsapp web option displays a list of connected computers then disconnect one by one to revoke the connection. Additionally, always make sure you check your account whether No authorized PC is accessing your Whatsapp.

Install an AntiVirus app

Screen mirroring apps operate in the background without your authorization and you can never tell whether one is already running and sending data privately. So, simply install an antivirus app like AVG or Avast from the play store to revoke any unauthorized apps running in the background. here are some of the free Antiviruses you can easily download.

Norton AntiVirus

AVH

Avast

BitDefender

Sophos mobile security

McAfee mobile security

Security master

The above and many more applications are all available on Android and Apple, so you can choose to download and install any! you feel like trying out. However, we recommend BitDefender which provides another security layer to your phone once installed successfully. Additionally, have you checked your app permissions as well in case an anti-virus cant detect a keylogger?

Double check installed apps and permissions

A screen mirroring app can be installed as both a system app or downloaded app on your phone, so in case your antivirus cant detect the illicit app but you still have a feeling of being tracked. Turn on app permissions on your phone so that each and every application has to be authorized to perform a given task.

How you can change and authorize app permissions on Android

In a nutshell, Whatapp is mainly vulnerable to these threats and Whatsapp web is the biggest trick of them all where your activity can be monitored on a computer as long as your phone has a stable internet connection with OTT tax preloaded well. Nevertheless, have your Whatsapp account ever been hacked? If yes, share with us your experience. More so, If you find this article helpful then the sharing buttons below can help another colleague in search of a solution.

Whatapp messenger which is so far the most popular IM ( Instant messaging ) platform has several changes to its main app. WHile you can now make group audio calls on the app’s IOS version. The click to chat new whatsapp feature allows you to chat with anyone whose number you have not saved in your contacts list.

Even though Sending a message to any unsaved number on whatsapp currently raves from a slightly complicated process to a pro-quick trick. Here is how you can send a quick whatsapp messages to un saved numbers in a single link.

No need to save unwanted numbers for whatsapp anymore

Inorder to send a whatsapp message to your unsaved number. Use the link https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=‘ followed by the phone number of the person you wish to send messages to. However when sending to international numbers, the number must be devoid of any special characters like (+) but should only include the international format without the prefixed zero.

For example: To send to an international number, you must type ‘https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=211234567890″ and not “https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=+21-1234567890”

The above link can be pasted directly to a browser by replacing the numbers after the equal sign with your refered unsaved number, after which the browser will prompt you to redirect you with a Open whatsapp pop up. Not forgetting that all unsaved numbers you intend to send Whatapp messages too must be registered users. Just like that, you wont need to save unknown contacts in your phone inorder to send Whstapp messages to them.
