<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to view advanced computer specifications on Windows 11</h2>

<p>Unlike the base process of using the settings panel to view your computer specifications on Windows 11, the operating system ships the Direct X inbuilt tool that has been available in all earlier Windows versions. <ul class="wp-block-list"><li>On your computer keyboard, press the <strong>Windows Key Button + R (Win + R)</strong></li><li>This will open a small <strong>RUN</strong> window</li></ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><a href="https://techpointmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Windows-11-RUN-dialog.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="500" src="https://techpointmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Windows-11-RUN-dialog.jpg" alt="Windows 11 RUN Dialog Box" class="wp-image-14768" srcset="https://techpointmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Windows-11-RUN-dialog.jpg 750w, https://techpointmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Windows-11-RUN-dialog-300x200.jpg 300w, https://techpointmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Windows-11-RUN-dialog-450x300.jpg 450w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></a></figure>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Now, enter the command <strong>&#8216;dxdialog&#8217;</strong> and hit the enter button or simply click OK</li><li>This will open up an advanced system specificons tab where you will view your computer motherboard type, BIOS Version, Processor and other advanced specs.</li></ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><a href="https://techpointmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Direct-X-Computer-Specifications-tool-on-Windows-11.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="500" src="https://techpointmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Direct-X-Computer-Specifications-tool-on-Windows-11.jpg" alt="Windows 11 Direct X Computer Specifications" class="wp-image-14766" srcset="https://techpointmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Direct-X-Computer-Specifications-tool-on-Windows-11.jpg 750w, https://techpointmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Direct-X-Computer-Specifications-tool-on-Windows-11-300x200.jpg 300w, https://techpointmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Direct-X-Computer-Specifications-tool-on-Windows-11-450x300.jpg 450w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></a></figure>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li><strong>DONE:</strong> To View your Computer Graphics speficiations on Widnows 11, simply rclick the Display tab in the Direct Diagonisic Tool Window.</li></ul>

<p>All in all, keeping note of your <a href="https://techviral.net/check-pc-full-specs-windows-11/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">computer specifications on Windows</a> will help you identify the available memory and hardware for your PC. In case of a RAM Chip failure, you will can notice reduction in your total memory under the specifications tab. But with the new procedure of accessing these options, the goal is clear, the Windows control panel is being phased out to pave way for newer features as showcased in Windows 11.</p>

<p>Windows 11 System Requirements are the new checkpoint to have your personal computer (PC) ready to run Microsoft&#8217;s latest and most advanced operating system ever built. Succeeding Windows 10 which has since 2018 been released in multiple builds with security patches and app upgrades taking a front seat. Windows 11 has been built as a reliable and secure operating system that every user can rely on with fewer updates.</p>

<p>By layout and design, Windows 11 has undergone a complete cosmetic makeover over Windows 10 making it attractive by usage. But with this clean shift in design comes new minimum Windows 11 system requirements every eligible computer must possess. Similar to Apple&#8217;s <a href="https://techpointmag.com/macbooks-that-can-run-macos-big-sur/" data-type="post" data-id="10913">macOS</a> restrictions, most old generation computers may not be able to run Windows 11 without a change in BIOS settings and secure boot options.</p>

<p>So, if compared to <a href="https://techpointmag.com/how-to-split-screen-app-windows-on-your-mac/" data-type="post" data-id="13495">Windows 10</a> system requirements, the minimum Windows 11 system requirements favour newer computers with the Trusted platform model (TPM) running version 2.0 or above. Reason for increased requirements comes as a precaution for all users to feel secure while running Windows 11 since the TPM 2.0 chip provides hardware-based security-related functions to protect users.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><a href="https://techpointmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Minimum-Windows-11-System-Requirements.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="500" src="https://techpointmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Minimum-Windows-11-System-Requirements.jpg" alt="Minimum Windows 11 system requirements" class="wp-image-14485" srcset="https://techpointmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Minimum-Windows-11-System-Requirements.jpg 750w, https://techpointmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Minimum-Windows-11-System-Requirements-300x200.jpg 300w, https://techpointmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Minimum-Windows-11-System-Requirements-450x300.jpg 450w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></a><figcaption>Courtesy Image</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Well, besides the hardware-based security TPM requirement, your computer also needs to run at least 4GB RAM or more with a minimum of 64GB free hard disk space to install Windows 11 and preconfigured system software. Also, the trend of running offline accounts is now over, and you&#8217;ll need an active Internet connection via Wi-Fi or Ethernet to log in with a <a href="https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11-specifications" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Microsoft</a> Outlook account.</p>
