MTN Kabode is the latest low-range Smartphone in Uganda, and the first-ever buy-on-credit device to be available in the country. With MTN Uganda steering affordability of the smartphone amidst stiff competition, its price range is attractive from the dot.
In fact, you can regard the MTN Kabode as a free MTN Smartphone available for Yello customers. This is due to the fact that you only get to pay UGX 20,000 every month for 6months to fully own it.
Comparatively, the cost of monthly Yaka tokens for an average Ugandan goes above the UGX 20,000 mark. This means, 20,000/= is not a high figure for a Smartphone in order to own it in a few months’ time.
So, as per the MTN Kabode Specifications sheet, it’s a great release to own given its low range capabilities, and 4G LTE network connectivity as its major selling point.
On a competitive scale, if compared to Smartphones like the Itel P36 which rocks in the same league with only a few technical specs and features placing a big margin between the two releases, the MTN Kabode would stand out as a clear winner.
As per the MTN Kabode Specs, the smartphone sports a 5.5Inch screen, front and rear cameras, then ships Android 9.0 as its base operating system with free data every month offered by MTN Uganda.

MTN Kabode Price in Uganda (use now, pay later)
A brand new MTN Kabode Smartphone costs UGX 150,000 at any MTN service center in Uganda. However, the phone is also offered on a credit plan with monthly payments from as low as UGX 20,000 for 6months.
Once 6months expire, the Smartphone fully becomes yours with no future payments tagged to it. As a starter pack, every month you’re guaranteed to free 2GB of data for the first 6months as an MTN Senkyu token.
As an initial requirement, to buy an MTN Kabode smartphone, you need a valid National ID Card or Passport to prove your identity to the telco. Then, in case you prefer a credit plan, you’re required to pay UGX 49,000 as a down payment, and UGX 20,000 every month for 6months.
By price comparison to devices in the same league, the Airtel 4G Smartphone is available as the red telco’s offer to customers, but MTN Kabode still stands out with an affordable price tag of UGX 150,000 contrary to UGX UGX 200,000 for the Airtel variant.
Hence, MTN Kabode is a true definition of an affordable yet budget-friendly Smartphone that currently rocks on the Ugandan market. With a Pay as you Use plan, feature plus phones like the MTN Kamunye and Africell VIDA K242 finally have some tough competition by their presence.

One weakness, battery drains within 1hour of streaming any video, over heats to whatever degree it wants around the speaker at the top and worse stupid network reception.
Should I get from yumbe service centre
