3 Brand New Cars, No Mobile Money charges: MTN’s contributions to the COVID19 National Taskforce.

Last Week, MTN Uganda donated a total of 3 Brand new Nissan Hardbody pickups to the COVID 19 National task force of Uganda. With this contribution, MTN’s total contribution to the fight against COVID19 has officially crossed the UGX 1Billion mark.

Initially, the telco waived Mobile money sending fees for MTN-MTN transactions before Work From Home bundles came into play to give subscribers more data for less on top of existing offers like Gaga Time.

With free call center services for health providers, RedCross Momopay donations, and partnerships to provide clean water in stressed areas. The telco’s contribution now make it the most contributing operator in the fight against the COVID19 Pandemic.

  • UGX 220m to NWSC
  • UGX 297m to RedCross 
  • Free call center space for the Ministry of Health
  • Free Media sensitization on radios, TVs.
  • Zero Rated Corona Virus Websites & eLearning platforms

So, with a total of over UGX 1 Billion contributed to the COVID19 National task force of Uganda, MTN’s stand manifests its common campaign of helping subscribers on every step of their decision-making journey by being Good Together.
