Developed by Pikime technologies Ltd, the service was developed by a trio featuring Godwin Asiimwe, Elly Atuhumuza and Emmanuel Okot with over 100 boda drivers currently registered by the startup. However, the trio revealed that Pikime kicked off its services as early as October as per their interview with Sauti tech. Additionally, By 2019 the service is expected to buckle up its numbers with new investors on board

Just like any other startup in the digital sphere, funding is always a key driver to success and the PikiMe app is currently self-funded according to Atumuza one of the founders. However, the ride-hailing firm is expecting support from its yet to be unveiled partners paving a clear path to the crowded sector
Availability
Having launched its services quietly in October, Pikime features an elegant interface with catchy features like Pikishare, a customized wallet among others giving a clear shot to the market leaders. However, the app’s currently available for download off the Google play store and trips can be requested from anywhere within the Kampala Zone.
