Panatech is a Rwandan startup that has joined the online shopping space with a Business to Consumer (B2C) model for its new e-commerce platform just like popular PanAfrican sites like Jumia and Kilimall.
Iduka Online is an online marketplace that connects sellers to buyers through product lists and stores. The platform so far has over 5,500 monthly users as per the reveal by Disrupt Africa
Iduka Online further allows buyers to sell their products online encompassing a buyer to buyer model on the platform. So far, the platform has registered over 100 sales since its initial rollout in Rwanda.
The Platform has launched in a timeframe where Jumia Rwanda bid farewell to the local e-commerce space paving a clean lane for Panatech’s Iduka portal
In a bid to overcome the challenge, Iduka online was rolled out as a channel to bridge the gap between to Rwandan buyers. At the moment, the channel is limited to only Rwandan customers as it builds a strong base from a self-funding model for a wide rollout to other East African countries like Kenya and Uganda.
Iduka is currently available as an online shopping website and through an App available for on the Google and IOS Apple Store.
