Live location feature has been launched by Whatsapp today where users will be able to share their real time location in chats which is a great move towards the future of Whatsapp that has always introduced new features since the year began with video calling being the first professional feature shipped to the app,Many skype and hangouts users started using Whatsapp more than the earlier apps including IMO that had introduced video chatting,The world’s top mobile app is expected to ship more features further more including the new live location feature as announced .
The live location feature is aimed at improving users experience with Whatsapp together with increasing parental security since many young people prefer to let their parents know their location incase stranded.Furthermore whatsapp’s live feature will use end to end encryption each time a user shares their live location with friends and family which ensures maximum chat security.
Group chats are also able to use this feature since a user may share their current location with the rest of the group members,according to Whatsapp the new feature is aimed at helping users let their loved ones know they are safe in a simple,secure way.
HOW IT WORKS
Open a chat with the person or group you want to share with. Under “Location” in the attach button, there’s a new option to “Share Live Location.” Choose for how long you want to share and tap send. Each person in the chat will be able to see your real-time location on a map. And if more than one person shares their Live Location in the group, all locations will be visible on the same map.
