MultiChoice Talent Factory is an African Cinema talent nurturing wing that was sniffed in-to play by MultiChoice as a norm to support local Film creators and producers.
After a 2-month rigorous selection process across 13 African states, MultiChoice has announced its Academy class of 2019 that will receive expert Cinema training from across 3 selected centers in Southern Africa, Western and East Africa.
The finalists who will begin their 12-Month training in Nairobi, Lusaka & Lagos were selected after a stiff interview and adjudication process by Film and television experts as well as regional Directors including Njoki Muhoho (East Africa), Berry Lwando (Southern Africa) and Femi Odugbemi (West Africa)
Among these, 4 Ugandan film enuthisats qualified for the East African round and were revealed to the public earlier yesterday at the MultiChoice Hq in Kololo. To the Sum, Kenya, Nigeria, and Zambia are the top countries with more contenders in this year’s Academy class.
After the inaugural 2018 class that sparkled up a journey for all graduates with their first films currently screening on M-Net channels and Showmax. This year’s class is hyped to reap big from new MTF partnerships with the Bollywood affiliated Jasco Broadcast and the Newyork Film academy college as the major connection wings.
With only 1 year depleted off the line since the talent factory launch in June 2018, MultiChoice will host this year’s East Africa class in Nairobi with all participating finalists expected to fly to their respective regions as soon as all preparations come to a close.
