Airtel Me2U is an airtime share service that was bumped into play as a mode to allow subscribers to share airtime with friends and family. With the service, you can share airtime with another subscriber who might have a Zero shillings account balance.
To use Airtel Me2u, the service neither requires any initial subscriptions, nor being active on any traffic plan. So it’s an open for everyone service accessible via Airtel’s list of shortcodes.
However, the service limits a user from sending Borrowed Airtime (Beerako), and only requires actual Airtime purchased via Airtel Money or any other digital payment service.
Well, to send Airtel Me2U, all you have to do is keep note of an Airtel number you intend to send to, and visit your My Account menu via *100#.
How to use Airtel Me2U
- Dial *100#
- Select Option 7 (My account)
- Then, Option 5 (Me2U’Share Airtime’)
- Enter Airtel number to send to
- Enter amount to send
- Done: Your recipient will receive the Airtime
For MTN Customers, you can transfer airtime Me2U on top of sharing data bundles with limits of up to 2GB via *160*6#. Nonetheless, sharing is caring, so you can always save a friend or family member with Me2U.
