TECNO Camon 16 Launched in Uganda, comes with Free MTN Data

TECNO Camon 16 has today launched in Uganda with MTN Uganda as the brand’s network partner of choice. Succeding the TECNO Camon 15 which was launched earlier this year, Camon 16 brings to shape a lineup of features and upgrades to its market value.

In partnership with MTN, Tecno Mobile has resurrected its free data spree with 3GB up for grabs every month for the first 3 months when a customer buys the phone. This was last shipped to the Camon 15, and its texture means more data for first-time buyers.

This launch is testament to our commitment of ensuring that everyone enjoys the benefits of a modern connected life through the services and products we offer”

On top of free instant data to customers who purchase the Smartphone, a 100% bonus is guaranteed on all Internet bundles purchased in the first quarter with a fashion similar to the telco’s Dabolo Promo.

Now that the Smartphone has launched in Uganda and its availability window confirmed. It means ready for purchase units are currently available in TECNO Mobile’s countrywide shops.

By features, the Camon 16 has launches with improvements in Camera performance tagged to TAIVOS as its imaging software. Then, a MediaTek Helio G90T headlines the device internals grade with 128GB as dedicated storage and 8GB RAM supporting the device’s perfomance levels.

As an industry-standard, Camon 16 equips Android 10 as the base operating system running on TECNO’s custom firmware version 6, HiOS 6.0. Likely, the device supports USB C with a 4500mAh non-removable battery powered by a 33W fast charging port.

However, with less of the features line up, the Smartphone just like its predecessors comes in 2 variants, a base model, and the TECNO Camon 16 premier. Based on the Specs sheet, differences are only sported in storage, fast charging, and onboard dedicated RAM.

By Price, the TECNO Camon 16 has lifted off its launchpad at a Price tag of UGX 1,099,000 for the Camon 16 Premier, as the base version will be priced once it’s available in Uganda. For now, only the Camon 16 premier is ready for purchase in TECNO Mobile outlets, and we shall test what it has to offer in our upcoming unboxing and review series.
