MTN Dabolo is back with a 100% data bonus on daily bundles. Having run a successful round in 2019, MTN Uganda has revamped the offer with a new style attached to 4G SIMcards. Starting today, the campaign will run for a period of 6 weeks just like the previous 2019 round.
According to MTN Uganda, the promo began as another rewarding arm aimed at giving back to customers. With a good popularity runtime in 2019, customers yeald at the telco for a 2020 round prompting the re-introduction with new improvements.
Now, unlike the previous round of the promotion, only 4G SIMCard holders will be able to get the 100% bonus on data bundles. This is due to the fact that 4G adoption has been a low rollout in Uganda, and so, a promo like Dabolo would attract more customers with an upgrade to 4G connectivity.
How to Load MTN Dabolo
With the new enhanced MTN Dabolo offer, customers are able to get data each time they load a daily data bundle. For instance, when you buy 15MBs at UGX 250, you get 30MBs instead. Likely, when you buy 1GB at UGX 5,000 you get 2GB at the same price tag.
Based on the expiry timeframe of daily bundles, the Dabolo bonus follows suit with a 24hours validity period from the time of activation. To buy a data bundle and get the 100% bonus, the telco’s *150*1# mobile internet shortcode serves as a quick path the same way you can use the MYMTN App to load your data bundle.

Given the fact that 4G is designed for fast connection speeds bridging the gap to better Internet connectivity before 5G, the telco’s Chief Marketing Officer, Somdev Sen inked that, the new offer is tamed at giving customers the best browsing experience on 4G.

As a starter pack, the telco is further offering free SIMCard upgrades to 4G. Hence, customers with older SIMCards majorly supporting 3G and 2G bands can visit an MTN Shop/Service center for a free SIM upgrade/swap to 4G.
