Taking a lion’s share of public votes, Douglas Smith of Sportrise emerged as the overall winner. Sportrise is an idea of a local company that will be using plastics to make soccer balls tagged to affordability and environmental friendliness.
Second Placed is Joseph Semanyengo of Brick Making. Third Place, Julius Tusingwire a programmer with a goal to innovate through the power of code. Fourth, Brian Maw a talented producer, and Tony Ayebare an online Butcher operator completing the campaign’s list of 5 winners.
The winners will receive support from MTN to facilitate the path to their dreams in form of MTN Mobile money to seed in-to their ideas, 60GB data per month for six months, Kigale fixed lines for business engagements, among others.
Additionally, MTN inked a plan to help all winners meet their idols since the campaign required participants to submit a one-minute video showcasing their dreams, and so, meeting their role models would expedite their urge to succeed with fresh winning business ideas.
“ We all have dreams. It’s a great thing to be a dreamer because the ones who dream are the ones who own the future. Like MTN, many of the leading businesses, companies, and enterprises started from an idea that sprung from a dream. Youths have many dreams and MTN wants to help them bring their dreams to life under the ‘For Good’ campaign “
