MTN Tidal: How to download the app and get Free Full access to music

Downloading the MTN Tidal app is as easy as having a Smartphone or Computer blended with a toast of the latest hits streamed through your Earphones/Headphones. The service was introduced in Uganda last year as a partnership with one of the World’s most popular streaming services Tidal.

For all first time users, MTN Tidal offers a free 30-day grace period where you can easily grab a toast of both International and Local music curated through playlists and artist profiles on the app.

However, the service is restricted to only MTN subscribers in Uganda with all account usernames bearing phone numbers instead of text crafted variations.

Amazingly, you get to choose the mode of streaming you wish to use, whether through your MTN data pack or any other telco like Africell /Airtel. Nonetheless, here is how you can download the MTN Tidal app and enjoy free Full access to all the music you love.

Downloading the MTN Tidal App

First things first, head over to your Smartphone store (Android or IOS) and download the official Tidal App. On Signup, The app will prompt you to cruise with the MTN offer__If you’re browsing using MTN Data. For other networks, You need to Signup using your MTN Line and Login thereafter.

After Installing the Tidal App, Dial the *165*4*7# MTN shortcode to access the Music & Video menu and choose Tidal Music, Then select Get Free trial to receive a detailed SMS with your new account username and password.

  • Dial *165# or *165*4*7#
  • If procedure 1 (Main Mobile Money menu), Then Select option 4 (Payments)
  • Choose option 7 (Music 7 Video)
  • Select Option 3 ( Tidal Music)
  • Choose Option 1( Get Free trial)__for first-time users
  • Wait for An SMS with your Account Username & Password
  • Login to the Tidal App for full access to the Music you love

On your first Tidal dashboard mashup, you can choose to play any Local riddims or your favorite International tracks with an old school flavor. Amazingly, MTN’s Tidal wing updates the Tidal dashboard with the latest local and billboard 100 playlists, so you won’t get bored on the app for any single second.

However, once your trial period expires, you’ll have to recharge your subscription through the MTN Tidal portal off the Mobile Money Menu.
