OLX has had an undoubtedly successful term in all countries it ever crossed to in Africa. The Startup founded in 2006 by Fabrice Grinda, Alec Oxenford running under Naspers and formerly active in 45 countries before the new split has officially rebranded its zones after a take over by Nigeria's mighty online marketplace Jiji as announced earlier last month.

OLX is a buyer to buyer platform that had made itself a name in Africa as the head to head Jumia competitor. Well, the platform will be soon no more after acquisition by Jiji __a Nigerian based online shopping website. As much as you loved the OLX looks with an orange touch to their design, Jiji will rank things up with a blue flame on a secure platform for secure real-time buying and selling between registered users.

With over 203 entries made to the MTN Mobile Money API Challenge which was aimed at bringing to book cashless solutions relying on the new developers free mobile money integration portal. MTN Uganda sieved 9 solutions out of 23 during the final pitch sessions as winners of the challenge with a hefty pack of pre-seed cash prizes awarded today.

The MTN Momo API was unveiled last year at the Ntinda based Innovation village, and a series of pitch sessions have been conducted for the past 3months to find the most efficient and relevant startup ideas to take home an overall cash prize.
