Well, as Schools continue to have closed notices, most parents fear the mounting fees that will be tabled once institutions are declared open. Even for the fact that many will battle with raising required dues, the story has changed course for a one Sulaiman Magino and his parents.

The Senior 4 Student is one of MTN Uganda’s lucky MomoNyabo Winners with a UGX 1,800,000 win amount. Moreover, the 22-year-old confirmed that UGX 50,000 is the highest Note he ever had, and now, being a millionaire is a dream come true.

At the present time, Sulaiman expects to sit his final UNEB O level examinations, even when he was demoralized by the effects of the COVID19 Pandemic. But with Cash by his side, the Certificate level candidate hopes to finance his education path with an e-learning enrollment to better his education.

Additionally, the 22-year-old was thrilled when the telco’s rewards team handed over his cash that he would be able to afford school fees for his final O-level year. Then again, he intends to help his parents start a shop and sell produce before schools get a Lockdown waiver.

Since MTN Uganda launched its MOMO Nyabo Together promo with an aim of sharing with customers, the 22-year-old winner chose to share his Win Amount with a close best friend named Samuel Olupot.

Through a daily draw conducted on NBSTV and Bukedde TV, the telco then rewards a duo of lucky Winners with UGX 1Million instant cash and a chance to multiply their win amount to UGX 5Million.

In Luganda__a Local language in Uganda, Momo Nyabo translates to Oh My God. Now, MTN Uganda has since the introduction of this campaign awarded hundreds of winners, and today, it has rewarded 2 of its first campaign winners.

The Winners include: 28 year Henry Otafiire – a regular youth business man and Bridget Kitimbo – a laboratory technologist with the Mulago hospital sickle cell department.

Having received calls during the telco’s live Momo Nyabo draws, the duo answered respective questions to multiply their Winnings and they both Won on a scale of 4/3 respectively.

Henry Otafiire with a total win amount of UGX 4,200,000, then Bridget Kitimbo with UGX 3,400,000 could not hide their Joy, but share it with the world while receiving the cash from the telco’s executives.

As the campaign continues to build momentum, MTN Uganda’s goal is to have hundreds of winners share its total pool of UGX 1.2 Billion. Over UGX 1.2Billion in mobile money prizes will be rewarded to lucky customers and agents. For full transparency, winners will be chosen through daily raffle draws broadcasted live on NBS TV and Bukedde TV at 8:20 pm.

The Momo Nyabo Together Promotion Mechanics

Every weekday, two customers that have used MTN MoMo to buy airtime, bundles, or other services, will be randomly chosen and will each win a guaranteed prize of UGX 1,000,000. Then, the customer will get a chance to triple the amount, and win an extra UGX 4million to make a total of UGX 5million that can be shared to a beneficiary of their choice.

Through a 5 Questions quiz asked by the live draw hosts, a customer will be able to win UGX 800,000 for every correct answer submitted.

Off the UGX 800,000 Win amount, the customer has to choose a beneficiary who could be a friend, relative or non-profit organization to give 50% of his Win amount to, meaning the beneficiary gets UGX 400,000 free as UGX 400,000 remains as the Winner’s Win amount.
