Infinix Mobile unveiled the Infinix S4 earlier last month in May, the S3 was already doing great on the market, but the newly improved model has proved to be one of the best smartphones of announced in 2019.

Just like the Spark 2 and Spark 3 that pose a slightly higher margin between the feature difference. Infinix’s S series entrants tame to the same square and here is a shot of the device differences and specifications craze.

Infinix S4 Vs Infinix S3 Specifications Showdown

SPEC

INFINIX S4

INFINIX S3

Operating System:

Android 9 Pie

Android 8.0

Display:

6.2 Inch Screen + Waterdrop

5.7 inch Screen

Camera:

13MP+8MP+2MP (Rear)
32MP (Front)

13MP (Rear)
13MP (Front)

Internal Storage:

64GB

32GB

RAM:

3GB or 6GB RAM

3GB

Battery:

Non-removable 4000mAh

Non-removable 4000 mAh

Price:

UGX 585,000 ($155)

UGX 450,000 ($120)

A battle for Display, The Infinix S3 (reddish) with a default and more bezels display as the S4 carries a waterdrop notch plus lesser bezels for a full display real estate

The Build, Design and display diffences

Unlike the Infinix S4 which brings to life a waterdrop notch to the Infinix selfie centric lane with a 6.2Inch Screen, the Infinix S3 poses a normal display pallet riding on a 5.7-inch screen as its superior successor piles. The S4 further has a full display resoltuion of upto 720*1520__thanks to the new display mode as the S3 rides on 720*1440 resolution.

On the contrary, the design of these two numeric phones brings to book minimal bezels and borders for the S4 as the S3 poses a slightly bigger body making its successor a slim and less bulky alternative to it. Furthermore, the Infinix S4 has a different charging port, headphone jack, and speaker setting all mated to the bottom lane inking a different craze from the Infinix S3.

A Sideways view of the Infinix S4 (bottom) Vs the S3(top), both phones pose the same functionality buttons layout, but a shiny advantage for the S4

Build wise, Both the Infinix S3 and Infinix S4 pose an unremovable battery devotion as a left-sided SIM cards tray further allows you to conveniently change communication cards without tampering with the inbuilt 4000mAh stronghold battery.

The S3 (Red) and the S4 (Spacy gray) bottom layout differences

However, the Infinix S4 which is the latest member of the S series family has a triple camera force, Unlike the Infinix S3 that ships a single rear camera craze and a duo flash as the S4 further trails with a quad flash for maximum picture quality. The S4 further has a padded round fingerprint sensor as the Infinix S3 has a fully rounded sensor to the central backplate.

Camera Ratings

Since Infinix mobile dedicated its S series range to the selfie-centric camp, camera performance is a vital option to tame with for any release with a Hot S tagline. Both the Infinix S4 and Infinix S3 are elegant smartphones, but of course the camera performance can’t fall in the same rankings range.

The Infinix S4 teases a total of 4 cameras with 3 rear pieces finishing its back plate as a lone selfie version occupies is waterdrop notch position. The Infinix S3, on the other hand, has a total of 2 cameras with 1 13MP rear version and a lone 13MP selfie drother to the front.

A rear layout of the Infinix S4 (Spacy gray) posing an improved fingerprint sensor riding on a triple camera force and the Infinix S3(RED) with a single rear camera, dual flash plus the circular sensor

However, on testing the quality of the two smartphones, the Infinix S4 produces much more detail in both selfie and rear pictures taken using the smartphone. Though the S3 produces some elegant quality as well, its successor undoubtedly deserves the top slot with mind-blowing pictures produced.

Overall device perfomance

When it comes to the performance graph for these two releases, an even curve exists between the two selfie centric companions. The Infinix S3 ships 3GB RAM supported by 32GB of Internal storage for full performance on an Oct core Media Tek processor, as the Infinix S4 cops up a superiror notion with 6GB of RAM supported by 64GB ROM for lightning-fast performance on an Oct Core MediaTek MT6762 processor.

ASuccessor Vs Predeccessor Show Down: The Infinix S4 to the right and the Infinix S3 left

On testing some bulky 3D games on both phones, the Infinix S4 performed way better than the Infinix S3 in terms of response times, making the Android 9 powered S4 a better performance companion as compared to the Android 8 powered Infinix S3 Smartphone.

The price difference

Budget-friendly smartphones are usually tamed in the mid-range tier with a cheap slogan for the low range tier. Amazingly, both the Infinix S4 and Infinix S3 smartphones are mid-range companions, though the two smartphones have a wide price margin between them.

The Infinix S4 retails for 585,000/= as the Infinix S3 retails for 450,000/= in Uganda closely converting to $155 and $120 for the two smartphones respectively. So, the Infinix S3 wins the price motion but if you love quality and a test of the newest operating system (Android 9 Pie) then, the glittering Infinix S4 deserves a slot in your pocket.

Infinix Mobile has launched its latest entrant in the S series coupe__the Infinix S4 with a scent of a high quality AI selfie camera to its model. The Infinix S4 is the rightful successor to the Infinix S3 and S3X in the S class coupe with a lineage of affordability in the mid-range tier. Amazingly, this is the first mid-range release to feature a water drop notch as the default display mode. As if the display mode is not enough to make the smartphone a reliable 2019 release, it ships 3 full detail rear cameras and a blend of 32Mega Pixels to its front-facing capture lens.

The newly launched Infinix S4 rides along with a default theme dubbed “ Empower the Infinity in You” teasing the S series path of powering up more selfies than any other feature shipped to the smartphone. Amidst the fact that all Infinix Selfie-centric releases have always focused on the cameras more than any other feature, The Infinix S4 spec sheet proves a max depth of field with a direction of elegance to its notched performance tweaks, and here is a taste of key features shipped by the selfie beast to the mid-range sphere.

Infinix S4 Build & Display

The Infinix S4 features a beautiful 6.2 inch HD display with a resolution of 720 by 1500 pixels with 2.5D glass covering the phone’s front view and a gradient filled back plate. On the front, the smartphone ships minimum bezels aligned to the new waterdrop notched center piece for a maximum screen real estate. To the rear end, a square fingerprint sensor sits 45° away from the triple camera force.

Operating System

Infinix S4 performs on XOS v5.0 Cheetah in addition to Android 9.0 Pie __which is the first for an Infinix release and 2nd in the mid-range camp after the Spark 3. To the storage edge, the Smartphone comes with either 3GB or 6GB or RAM for lighting fast performance by its MediaTek Helio P22 processor coupled with 32GB or 64 GB of onboard storage expandable to 128GB via a micro TFCard.

Cameras

With a sniff to the optical lane, a triple rear camera set-up is packed to the back featuring a 13MP, 8MP and a 2MP wide-angle sensor aligned millimeters away from quad LED flash. To the front edge, a 32MP AI-powered selfie camera sits in horizontal comfort of a front soft flash. Available camera modes include portrait mode, panorama, auto HDR among others we shall attesify once we receive a copy of the device.

How about the Battery

A 4000mAh battery Powers up the Infinix S4 as the unique bit about all S series releases is the charging time coupled to them. Though the Infinix S levels have not risen close to rankings attained by releases like the Itel P33 80 hours beast,The Infinix S4 battery is one that can atleast perform for 2days with basic usage and minimal network leaks.

Infinix S4 comes in a variety of colors including Milan Black, Blue, and Purple. This means every mid-range encroacher has a choice to ride with their favorite color style. Nonetheless, we love the fact that Shiny back faces are back to the mid-range lane as the Camon 11 was one of those initial releases to bring the gradient feel to life.

A brand new Infinix S4 retails for UGX 585,000 available both online and at authorized dealer shops. To the performance, reliability and camera quality packed to the Infinix S4__we think this is one of those amazing releases as we shall testify to this once we recieve a review unit and avail detailed consumer insight about the new Android 9 powered selfie centric release now available in Uganda.

After the trendy Infinix S3 that later paved way for the S3x, a new S series model is set to be launched in Uganda and its just an increment of the earlier 2018 dressed as Infinix S4. From the time Infinix mobile spread its wings to Uganda in partnership with Kilimall in 2016, it’s smartphones have always been the best attaining a perfect stunt of topping the mid-range scope.

Earlier this week, Infinix mobile Uganda announced the entry of its new Smart selfie release expected to feature not only some of the trendy features, but also a waterdrop notch which is the first of its kind for the budget-friendly league in Uganda. Much more like a reply to the top tier league, we expect more the Infinix S4 to be one of those best smartphones every netizen can ride on with for curated performance or even enjoy more uptime in the same fashion offered by the Itel P33.

Amidst the fact that Kenya and Nigeria already have the Infinix S4 available with Uganda joining the list on 6th May 2019. All we can expect of the Infinix S4 is a pile of heavy features since it shares the same launch period as the Tecno Spark 3. Nonetheless, here are some of the features you should expect to see.

Infinix S4 expectations before the launch date

Though we expect a pile of features to cross over to the mid-range scope in a frame where the top tier league is glued to folding every node of the expensive big screens. The Infinix S4 price is what will determine whether it’s yet another budget friendly companion or an eyebrows raiser in its own league since it packs a triple rear camera approach.

We expect the Infinix S4 to pack a total of 4 cameras with 3 of them situated close to the fingerprint sensor as the remainder might produce the best quality comparable to its rear companions. Away from the camera, facial recognition support won’t surprise us since it has become a must-have for the budget-friendly league with the ITEL P33 being the latest to ship the feature.

A waterdrop notch is the first of its kind for an Infinix release and the Infinix S4 will be the first midrange entrant with the display mode with TECNO Mobile still focused on the basic notch as the Spark 3 appeared to ship the same mode. Other than, the new Waterdrop notch together with multiple high resilution cameras for a mid range release and not forgetting a taste of Android 9 Pie, expect the Infinix S4 to be one of those great 2019 releases we shall have to see before 2020 ushers in a new viable manufactures race.

Infinix Mobile is slowly encroaching on the top tier popularity streak as the fate is with its sister brand Tecno mobile. After a wonderful Infinix S3x smartphone tease designed for the African market shook things up in the mid-range scope, Infinix Kenya now has the S4 to its market with catchy features making it one of the best budget-friendly smartphones to own in 2019.

Infinix S4 price In Kenya and Where to buy from

The Infinix S4 smartphone comes in two variants, one with 3GB RAM and a superior version with 6GB RAM cruised on a 32GB or 64GB Internal storage chip respectively. So, the price between the 2 models shifts with an increase to the 6GB/64GB variant as the pro version.

An Infinix S4 with 3GB retails at Kshs 14,999 and the pro version at Kshs 20,000 on Infinix Xmall as the phone comes in a variety of colors including Milan black, blue and purple. Hence, as the Camon 11 had a huge price difference with its pro version, its the same fate with Infinix’s S4 which can be bought online on Kilimall, Jumia, Telkom Kenya or visit physical smartphone stores.
