Huawei Mate X2 is the new generation foldable smartphone set to leave its launchpad on 22nd February 2021. Confirmed by Huawei on its official Weibo handle, the launch of its next foldable smartphone succeeding the Mate X before Samsung, Xiaomi reveal their 2021 foldable offers will feature a new array of features and functionality.

Previously, the Huawei Mate X2 was rumored to launch in 2020, but due to the political atmosphere between China and the US, the company decided to extend the device launch date to 22nd February 2021. But once launched, the smartphone will have seal a new generation of foldable phones headlined by 5G support.

If compared to its predecessors, the Mate X2 is expected to fold inwards and not outwards as the case has been. More so, an array of cameras is one to note on the upcoming foldable smartphone even with fewer details so far shared by Huawei.

For now, the device launch is confirmed for 22nd February 2020, but with less information about the price and general device specifications, we just have to watch the space for possibly what Huawei has in stock. But as per its operating system grades, we don’t expect the smartphone to ship Harmony OS since the company still has interest in running non-GMS android with the Huawei App Gallery.

Nonetheless, according to Huawei’s Business Group CEO Richard Yu, the Huawei Mate X2 is full of surprises and set to change how the foldable smartphones industry runs. Additionally, Yu confirmed that he has been using the Smartphone for a while, and so, this could be a game-changing foldable smartphone that will flare new top tier standards in the industry.

After the Galaxy fold, Mate x and an upcoming yet to be named Xiaomi release, we all know Tecno mobile will be the manufacturer under pressure to fill the East African gap with a hefty pack of demand in Uganda. So, as much as the 1st April teaser was a fool's day prank since the brand mentioned a 4 folds release, we believe a foldable Tecno smartphone is in the pipeline and our expectations are just in high gear for a 2019 date.

Imagine if you stepped-in to a smartphones store and came across an affordable foldable smartphone. Yes, Tecno mobile could be cooking an affordable version of the hiked price smartphones range in 2019. A Galaxy fold will cost $1980 when its available for order as Huawei’s Mate X is a $2600 priced flagship though Xiaomi’s $999 3-folds version is the cheapest so far.

So a foldable Tecno smartphone would become the first affordable device in this league as the story has been with the midrange competition. Even when April 1st is known to be a jokes drizzling day, the Tecno mobile tease off their Facebook page didn’t seem to be a fools’ day prank.

IT could be a prank but a foldable version is coming this year

Our Expectations Of The Tecno foldable smartphone

Forget the top notch, foldable smartphones are slowly taking over the iPhone X ignited revolution at a time when Apple is still fixing backstage designs. Though we have seen Samsung’s version followed by a hot punch from Huawei, we expect to see Tecno’s take on the trend before Apple resurrects from the foldable iPhone design sessions.

We expect the foldable Tecno smartphone to feature a sleek shiny design similar to that of the Camon 11. With a 7.3 foldable display size evidenced on all top tier releases so far, Tecno’s foldable version will definitely connive with the same trend for its flagship device.

we expect the Tecno foldable smartphone to unfold into a 7.3-inch tablet like the superior Huawei Mate X

As if the design and shiny colors are not enough for a Tecno foldable smartphone, we hope to see 4 cameras or more packed to the device since the company hasn’t yet borrowed the full multiple streaks of flagships like the Nokia 9 PureView. With 2 cameras to the back and 2 front facing cameras on top of the fold, the device would be a selfie beast in a foldable zone.

Alternatively, we expect a 3 folds smartphone and not a 4-folds version as the Tecno Boom X teaser triggered the budget-friendly zone with a panic. So, as Itel mobile and Infinix watch in a tight corner of the foldable chase, we expect to see such a feature-filled foldable Tecno release to shake the high-end notion with price spikes to the budget-friendly lows.

Samsung is releasing a foldable smartphone, everyone is excited! Are you? Diving into the paradoxical features expected on such a blog buster. Samsung mobile will be unveiling its first ever foldable smartphone sometime in November during the Galaxy S10 launch. Among the features everyone is excited to see, the foldable feature is just a drop in the ocean.

For the past few years, we all expected the foldable smartphone to come out last in 2018. But, the drill could be facing the last quarter of 2019, though a reflection of the prototype being designed by Samsung will be unveiled during the S10 launch. However, what makes this foldable smartphone so cool, let’s dive into the anticipated features we expect it to have during its launch with the galaxy s10.

A new Galaxy S10 will pave way for the foldable Galaxy X this November

A new Android version, flipping/foldable screen, and a high res display are some of those key features Bloomberg inked in their interview with Samsung. With an intuitive design already developed, Samsung is now wondering whether to give the world’s first ever foldable smartphone a vertical or landscape orientation, a question which needs answers and you could contribute to that.

Launch and availability dates of the Samsung foldable smartphone

The foldable smartphone, commonly referred to as the Galaxy X, will be unveiled alongside the Galaxy S10 in one of November’s first weeks. But then, it won’t be available for purchase until the second quarter of 2019. Amounting on that, what could be your expectations of Samsung’s foldable phone? Share with us your thoughts in the comments section below.
