Over the past few months, WhatsApp has also transformed from simply a mobile app, to an Instant messaging as a service client. By this standard, WhatsApp synchronizes your data to its cloud servers and makes it available on your computer through WhatsApp web.

Well, much as it’s not possible to use the same WhatsApp account on two smartphones, the ability to transfer your chats from Android to IOS will make it easy to transfer content between devices.

The reveal was made by WABeta and screenshots from the IOS ver 22.2.74 show the incoming ability for Android users to sync messages to the IOS devices.

At the moment, WhatsApp has not revealed a timeframe on when the feature will launch, but once made available to all users, it becomes simpler to switch between an Android smartphone and an iPhone release.

Now, all signals show that a recycle bin on Android 12 is a possibility users can get ready to use once the operating system is launched. As per leaked screenshots, the new recycle bin (trash bin) on Android 12 will be hosted under storage settings to make it easy for users to choose trash once they opt to free space or change any storage settings.

At the moment, the feature only allows you to view recently deleted files and permanently delete them. But with future previews and beta updates, the feature is expected to be detailed with the ability to choose between recovering or permanently deleting files in the trash bin.

A report by XDA’s Mishaal Rahman suggests that the recycle bin on Android 12 may not be of the same standard as that on desktop operating systems like the Windows recycle bin. Instead, it may simply have a trash folder where you can locate a number of files recently deleted from your phone and options to recover or delete them.

For now, a recycle bin on Android 12 could be coming soon as a safer way to clear junk in your smartphone, and ditch recycle bin apps available on the Google Playstore. Even when the trash bin may be hosted under Settings->Storage, it will be a great feature to note in the upcoming Android 12 beta builds.

At the moment, the feature is still in its early development stages and may roll out in mid-2021 as leaked by WABetaInfo – a reliable WhatsApp information source. The feature was spotted in a recent WhatsApp Beta update, and it will require users to have the latest version of WhatsApp in order to transfer chats from Android to IOS and vice versa.

Once the feature is rolled out, you will be able to transfer text chats, images, video, voice notes, and all media from Android to IOS and vice versa. This means, if you often switch Smartphones from Android-based variants to the Apple league, this feature will save you from the stressful task of having to start fresh conversations in groups and individual chats.

By functionality, the feature may work in a wireless fashion which will compile a backup of your current WhatsApp information and share it over Bluetooth or a private personal hotspot from your Android to iPhone with ease. For now, WABetaInfo has not leaked further details on when we can expect to see the new WhatsApp chats transfer method.

But as compared to all leaked features in the past, WhatsApp features often take a while to leave the launchpad, and we can expect the new game-changing feature to be launched in mid-2021 for Beta testers to give it a try before a public rollout. Currently, expect to see a smooth way of transferring WhatsApp data from Android to IOS without using sophisticated Apps.

Comparatively, we expect the TECNO Camon 17 to come in different models as its predecessor. In 2020, the Camon 16 launched with Camon 16 Premier, Camon 16 Pro, and Camon 16s variants. Likely, the Camon 15 as well came in 3 models, the base Camon 15, Camon 15 Air, and the Camon 15 Premier with a pop-up selfie camera as its key feature.

However, as per leaked information about the Camon 17, the device is expected to be the lowest on specs as compared to its 2020 predecessors. This means, the smartphone may ship upgrades in the Operating system, Chipset, Storage, and other internal features, but may lie behind the Camon 16 Premier which currently rocks as the best performance variant in the series.

Well, leaked specifications point to a punch-hole display with an HD 720 * 1600 pixels resolution, a fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a 5000mAh inbuilt battery as features to watch out on the inaugural 2021 Camon series release.

Camon 17 Specs we expect once launched

• The Camon 17 will equip a MediaTek Helio G70 Processor
• 6GB RAM is expected to boost the device with great performance
• A Punch hole display notch will be guided by a 6Inch 720*1600pixels screen
• The Camon 17 will run Android 11 straight out of the box and the first TECNO release to run the operating system
• The device will have a rear-end fingerprint sensor with face unlock support to the front
• An Inbuilt 5000mAh battery will be supported with an 18W fast charging port
• A 3.5mm headphone jack is expected to be present

At the moment, the first Camon 17 renders have not been uploaded, but in comparison with its predecessor – the Camon 16, we don’t expect significant changes in the design since both devices sport the same display and battery capacity.

But with Android 11, the smartphone will be the first TECNO Mobile release to ship the latest version of Android which makes it one to consider adding on a midrange shopping budget. More so, with 6GB RAM, the device could troll new performance levels as revealed through an FCC document and Google Play Console. For now, we expect the Camon17 to launch in April 2021.

The Huawei P50 is also expected to come in three models, a base Huawei P50, P50 Pro, and a P50 Pro+ similar to the P40 lineup revealed in 2020. Tentatively, all 3 models will differ in performance, storage, and battery standards to give a complete high mid-range texture for all potential users.

With a new rear camera setup, the Huawei P50 is as well expected to be a game-changer in the mobile photography game as a report confirmed that it will park the largest camera sensor with the detail-first image quality. In fact, the P50 camera is reportedly more powerful as compared to that on the Huawei P40 or Mate 40 series.

On top of that, the P50 is likely to come with a new rebuild of the Kirin 9000 chipset rumoured to be the Kirin 9000L with stripped performance. From previous announcements, Harmony OS will be installed on over 300milion devices by the end of 2021 and will support older Huawei Smartphones with EMUI 11 or above. And for now, the Huawei P50 is slated to be the very first Smartphone to ship with Harmony OS. Aside that, the rumoured latest camera technologies and setup changes make it an ideal flagship set to alter the overall perception of midrange Smartphones.

As per launchpad insights, Camon 16 brings to play a catalog of new features compared to its predecessors. Having launched the Smartphone in Kenya earlier last Month (September), the Camon 16 will follow a market trend preset by the Camon 15 that launched in Q2 2020.

If compared to its predecessors, the Camon 16 equips new standards headlined by a new notch display. A dual punch hole notch teases the Smartphone’s display levels as multi-camera support raves with a quad rear setup (4 Cameras).

A 64MP main snapper, an 8MP Ultra-wide + 2MP Macro, and 2MP depth sensors make up the quad rear camera setup. To the front, a dual setup consisting of a 48MP + 8MP snappers takes shape under the dual punch hole notch.

What to Expect and how to pre-order the TECNO Camon 16

Apparently, USB C is supported by the Camon 16 straight out of the box. After years in the cold since the Phantom 8 launch, TECNO Mobile had never hinted on bracing USB Type C, instead, clogged on Micro USB for all releases.

But given pressure dynamics from customers, the brand has finally braced Type C as a new standard for latest releases. So, starting with the Camon 16, USB C might be the default port standard for not only the Camon series, but all midrange entrants.

By price, TECNO Mobile has not revealed how much the Smartphone will cost as yet, but pre-orders are currently open for customers at a default price tag of UGX 50,000. So, at only 50,000/= you can book a Camon 16 at any official TECNO outlet with an expected launch date of 12th October 2020.

At the moment, Infinix Mobile has not revealed details on the official reserved retail pricing (RRP) and availability schedule. But as per the launch pad, the Smartphone will launch in Uganda by 10th October 2020 (Early October).

For now, expect the Hot 10 to bring to play close to Infinix Note 7 features on a budget, since it equips the same processor, display type, and memory specifications. Hence, once launched, we shall publish the device’s full features and how much it will cost in Uganda.

Popularly, Itel Mobile produces multiple classes for its products, this is seen with its Smartphones. The brand has 3-ranges, A (Basic Affordable), P (Battery-centric), and S (selfie-centric) series.

This means, Itel TVs will be priced based on what competitors’ offering the same display types, and TV standards offer. Predictively, we expect the brand’ S and A series 32Inch TVs to be priced somewhere between UGX 450,000 – UGX 550,000 which is the price range for most competitor models.

According to our trusted Itel Mobile Uganda sources, Itel Tvs will be available in Uganda by 2021. In relation to the brand’s latest quality accessories rollout, the brand TVs are built with customer quality and affordability in-mind.

As per the Specifications sheet, most releases will be Smart TVs on top of having DVB T2 Free to air compatibility. Uniquely, Itel Smartphones will be able to cast content through a new I-Cast App (Itel’s version of Chromecast) among other great features.

Dubbed Infinix X1-series Smart TVs, the brand seeks to provide consumers with an elegant, intelligent, and crystal clear viewing experience. Though Infinix’s mother company “Transsion Holdings” runs Synix as its LED TVs arm, Infinix TVs will come with new branding and feature in-sight.

Apparently, X1 Series TVs will come with full Infinix branding denoting the brand’s official launch in the home entertainment lane. So, the company won’t be borrowing a Synix quality and production streak, but will ship new LED modes as the front-liner for all TVs once launched.

At the moment, Infinix has not shared any detailed information on the TV Series Panel quality, HDR support, supported resolutions, Android version, and retail pricing.

Expected to launch in September alongside the Infinix Zero 8, the inaugural Infinix X1 TVs will launch in two sizes; 43Inch and 32Inch versions with a rumored S-series also in the pipeline.

By the current Smart TVs pricing structure which has continued to meet new bears with the emergence of budget-centric brands like Hisense, Skyworth, Changhong among others. Nonetheless, here is a breakdown of what has been revealed so far:
