MTN Uganda has for the past few weeks proved to be the best telecommunications company to beat in yet another competitive year. From awarding the Momo API challenge winners, to promoting health in Uganda and unveiling an affordable feature phone to the public. The Yello camp will surely burry all its earlier faults that saw its CEO and CMO deported from the country.

As it marks 20 years of existence, MTN Uganda has, through its corporate social responsibility arm, the MTN Foundation, refurbished and furnished the maternity ward at Kijuura Health Center lll in Kijuura town council as a way of giving back to the community. Well, the SIM card registration resurrected last week and UCC now requires selected subscribers to reverify their SIMcards. For instance, If you receive a message like "Y’ello, You have more than one number registered under your NIN. Please visit any Airtel Shop with your National ID to confirm them"  from your telco, then you're one of the subscribers who will face a touch penalty once the registered sim cards are not re-verified

MTN Uganda customers are celebrating the spice of enjoying one rate for calling all local networks at only 4shs per second. The new rate was announced by the Yello team off their Twitter account, and within a short time, the move was endorsed by the Hon Minister of ICT Frank Tumwebaze in a tweet back.

With over 203 entries made to the MTN Mobile Money API Challenge which was aimed at bringing to book cashless solutions relying on the new developers free mobile money integration portal. MTN Uganda sieved 9 solutions out of 23 during the final pitch sessions as winners of the challenge with a hefty pack of pre-seed cash prizes awarded today.

MTN Kamunye is one Kai Os powered feature phone that appears and functions in a fashion similar to that of a smartphone. As a fact, Smartphone manufacturers with a shakedown market share in Uganda are jealous of this phone as per the PR trends it has taken from all corners of the country.
